Seminar Background
“The Construction Sector – Preparing for the logistics Hub” is the theme of our 2014 seminar.
This seminar comes at a time when our embattled nation is focused on the elusive goals of balancing our budget and achieving sustained economic growth.
Despite our many challenges, we readily acknowledge that we are endowed with excellent piers, a very strategic geographic location and a dynamic and resilient national spirit. These attributes provide a sturdy foundation on which we seek to construct our national response to the possibilities that are expected to radiate from the logistics Hub.
Against this backdrop, we extend a hearty welcome to you as, together, we explore the means and ways in which the construction sector can prepare itself to identify and access the expected benefits. We hope that when the cErtains come down on today’s proceedings we will all be more sensitized, better equipped and well prepared to reap the rewards from this game-changing event that is pivotal to the future of our beloved Jamaica.
