Divisions & Committees

The IMAJ’s Committees are the means by which members work to meet the needs of the Industry and the needs of the membership as a whole. They deal with the day to day administration of the Association, plan functions, publications etc. while through representation in other organizations discuss emerging issues, exchange information and ideas that benefit the wider membership when they are discussed at the Executive Council Meetings. Participation on the committees it not only encouraged, it is vital to the growth and success of the Association.

The Secretary \ Manager who is responsible for the day to day administration of the Association reports to the Management Committee which is comprised of the President, the 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents and the Immediate Past President. This committee in turn reports to the Executive Council.

Three members are appointed each year to represent the Association on the Construction Industry Council which includes the Jamaican Institute of Architects, the Jamaica Institution of Engineers, the Jamaica Institute of Quantity Surveyors and the Land Surveyors Association of Jamaica.

The President with the approval of Council appoints the following committees each year:
